Full Support from Government and Industry
In his remarks, the Director General of Cultural Development, Utilization, and Fostering of the Indonesian Ministry of Culture, Ahmad Mahendra, M.Tr.AP., conveyed the ministry’s commitment to continue supporting local game industry players.

“The gaming sector has enormous potential to drive digital economic growth and create jobs, especially for the younger generation. Unfortunately, our market is still dominated by foreign games. Therefore, cross-sector collaborations like those at IGX are crucial to strengthening Indonesia’s gaming ecosystem, which is creative, independent, and rooted in national culture,” he said.

On the same occasion, the General Chair of APTIKNAS, Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, S.H., stated that the implementation of IGX 2025 is a concrete manifestation of the synergy between the business world, government, and communities in encouraging the growth of the national game and digital content industry.

“Through strategic collaboration with various associations and industry players, this event not only showcases the enormous potential of the digital entertainment sector, but also opens up opportunities for investment, talent development, and broader market expansion, both at the national and international levels,” said Hoky, his nickname, who also serves as Chairman of the AGKDI Supervisory Board, Secretary General of the Indonesian Information Technology Advocates Association (PERATIN), Advisor to the Golden Indonesia Community Forum (FORMAS), Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Press Union (SPRI), and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Indonesian Press LSP, as well as the Management of the Indonesian National Defense Forum (FBN RI).
