Jakarta, November 13, 2025 — Ahead of the peak of the Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) 2025 event on November 20–23, 2025 at Gajah Mada Plaza, Jakarta, the General Chairperson of AGKDI, Hendri Andrigo Sutanto, reiterated that IGX is not just an entertainment festival, but a strategic momentum to strengthen the foundation of the game and digital content ecosystem in Indonesia.
AGKDI’s Vision Behind IGX 2025
According to Hendri, the IGX 2025 event is a stage designed by AGKDI to unite various elements — from gamers, developers, academics, communities, MSMEs, to the government — to build an inclusive and sustainable digital future.
“IGX 2025 Jakarta is not just a festival, but a strategic moment to build an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable future for the gaming and information technology industry,” said Hendri.
He emphasized that through IGX, AGKDI wants to emphasize that games are also part of cultural innovation and the creative economy, not just entertainment.

A Series of Major Events and Collaborations
IGX 2025 Jakarta is the culmination of a series of roadshows that have taken place in several major cities such as Tangerang, Surabaya, Semarang, and Bandung.
Some key elements of the Jakarta event:
Esports competition: Over 1,500 gamers will compete in popular titles like Mobile Legends, Free Fire, and Counter-Strike. The total prize pool for this competition is IDR 50 million.
Technology and Gaming Gear Exhibition: There are more than 20 well-known IT brands present, such as Samsung, Acer, and Telkomsel, as well as VR/AR and Edu-Tech zones that visitors can try out.
Culture & MSMEs: There is a cultural bazaar featuring local products, music performances, dances, and community stages, including over 50 Cosplay performances.
Strategic Welcome: During IGX, there will be conferences and forums with digital industry figures, including representatives from APTIKNAS and APKOMINDO.
Opening Performance: The event officially opened on November 20 at 10:30 a.m. WIB in the Main Atrium of Gajah Mada Plaza, with an angklung and dance performance that combined traditional and digital elements.

The Importance of Cross-Sector Collaboration
Hendri emphasized that the success of IGX depends heavily on collaboration between various stakeholders: industry associations, local communities, MSMEs, and the government.
He believes that technology and culture are inseparable: “Technology is a tool, culture is the soul. When combined, the two will become an unstoppable national force.”
He also stated that IGX serves as a platform to strengthen the national creative economy ecosystem — not only for gamers, but also for MSME entrepreneurs and local creators.

Social and Economic Impacts
For Hendri and AGKDI, IGX 2025 is a strategic tool to:
- Encouraging digital economic growth: Through technology product exhibitions and encouraging local brands to develop.
- Developing young talent: Esports competitions and technology workshops open up career opportunities for young people in the gaming and creative industries.
- Preserving Indonesian culture: Traditional performances and cultural collaborations emphasize that games can be a bridge between tradition and modernity.
- Strengthening creative communities: Through community stages and bazaars, local creators and cosplayers gain a space to express themselves and expand their networks.
